Hello,

Yes, it is truth, BIM is processing tool. These remarks was related to another sub-forum related to solving (I am in this forum too) but in the aspects of BIM in structural version important problem is structure identification and it is not unimportant job. Thanks for engineering and professional reply :) Thanks.

Hello,

This example is provided as a simple example demonstrating the possibility of real time feedback using FEM analysis. BIMAnalysis is a pre/post processor not a solver in its self, all problems are exported to a solver of the users choice(soon to come), solved and the results are imported. This allows for a more fluid work flow for structures that may have less predictable behaviors, displaying displacement and stress patterns in a parametric environment. It also provides a direct translator of complex geometry into a solver's native interface where it would otherwise be very difficult to model. For an architect or designer this type of tool will allow them to gain an understanding of their design's structural behavior, providing them the possibility of a much more informed design at the conceptual stage of a project. In the native rhino interface there are many more tools for applying loads and restraints that are not available in the grasshopper modules, such as applying a load "anywhere"(soon to come). This tool is not intended to replace an engineer or even necessarily replace the high end solvers that engineers use, but rather act as a tool for translation, meshing  and iterative techniques that would otherwise be very difficult and time consuming.

Hello,
.
RinoBIM with structural analysis is very interesting venture, maps of isolines looks fine, but I think that structural analysis need to be tested/evaluated, because modeling of structure is not only general definitions of loads and geometry, but different combinations, restrictions and complicated/complex data too. Evaluation need to be prepared at the base of special models. Structure static analysis is complicated knowledge (based on safety assurance) with deep history of general mechanics.
.
In this example I don't understand how beam is supported. I don't know which type of strains/internal forces are visible/presented. Aproximation is only aprrpoximation. Theory of elasticity and plasticity is very complicated/complex knowledge. Engineer is responsible for safety of people. On my simple example I have oppinion, that analysis is simplified but very interesting. Every complicated analysis can have assumptions, it is not bad to express these, meybe like a simplifications.
.
regards
Tomasz

The problem has now been fixed and the installer will be ready in the morning if you urgently need the new version you can download it here

http://www.thispointon.com/RhinoBIM/whole thing protected.rar

delete all of the files from RhinoBIM->Analysis and unzip the rar file to that folder.

Thank you for your help and patience.

I downloaded new version of Rhino5, Grasshopper, Rhinobim

But the same problem is occurring...  ^^;;;

At first, when I started rhino5, the system uploaded 3 plug-ins. However, I could not see and chaeck the last plug-in(Rhinobimanalysis2) was loaded perfectly.

When do you exactly fix this bug?

I hope this bug will be fixed soon

Hello Wonseok,

That is a recent bug. Thank you for bringing that to our attention. A new version will be available in the morning with the fix.

Thanks

Erik

When I try to run the 'BIM BEAM' button in grasshopper, the following message shows me I was wrong.

{Errors: Solution exception: Could not load type 'bimanalysis2.run' from assembly 'bimanalysis2, version=1.0.0.0, culture=neutral, bublickeytoken=null'.}

What can I do?

Erik,

That was a very helpful webinar.  Could you add another to describe the application of loads?

Nathaniel
