Tools for Design through Construction

We are just trying out RhinoBIM to see how it compares to Revit for architecturally expressed steel structures.

I'm really impressed with how easy it is to build up individual members, anywhere in 3 space.

What I'm really missing is a means to cope steel members to each other - are there plans for such a function?

I would also like to see members made up of individual components (base plates, stiffiners etc) recognise that they are part of the same assembly, and move / copy together.

Do you anticipate building up intelligent components such as bolts (with holes) or bracing rods, which can flex keeping connectors / tensioners / nuts / holes etc aligned and intact?

I can't seem to get the plate material out of the Australasian catalogue to work - does this work for anyone else ?

Looks good so far ...
